The Art of Living Well | The True Nature of Who You Are | A Cultivated Life
I haven’t always been living the right story.
But I am now.
My name is Mikel Adams—and I help women reclaim the True Nature of Who They Are so they can live well, lead well, and love well…
Without self-abandonment, burnout, or betrayal ever being part of the formula again.
For years, I carried pain that didn’t belong to me.
I wore trauma like a second skin.
I performed success while secretly self-destructing.
And for a long time, I thought healing meant pretending I was okay.
Once a victim of long-term sexual abuse and unhealthy relationships, I used to think that was my story.
But I was wrong. That was just the origin.
It’s not the whole book.
We can rewrite the story we live.
We can co-create with God—
And design a life richer, freer, fuller than we ever imagined.
But first, we have to tell the truth.
The Shift
For years, I was in rooms that dulled my spirit.
I spent nearly two decades building brands and businesses in the bar and nightclub industry—earning a reputation for turnarounds, loyalty, and hustle.
But behind the scenes, I was a single mother working impossible hours, enduring abusive relationships, and slowly eroding under the weight of a life that didn’t reflect my truth.
I knew something had to change the moment the pain of stagnancy became louder than the fear of the unknown.
That’s when I walked into a college enrollment office—with zero dollars and a mountain of faith.
I was 35.
The Awakening
College wasn’t just a place for learning—it was a portal.
A mirror that reflected my potential back to me.
Within months, I quit my job, ended my toxic relationship, and launched my first business.
I stopped drinking. I stopped smoking. I started healing.
My son watched me rise—and he rose too.
He became a better student and a kinder human because I was becoming the mother I always knew I could be.
And I didn’t stop there.
I walked away from a lifetime of attachments that no longer matched my evolution.
I devoured books like scripture.
I found my way back to God—not the one I had been taught to fear, but the one I now know as Love, Wisdom, and Source.
I mastered my mind.
Forgave the unforgivable.
Set myself free.
The Turning Point
It wasn’t just one moment—it was a million micro-decisions.
Moments where I chose truth over performance.
Courage over comfort.
Alignment over approval.
Like when I stood on stage in front of 15,000 people as the undergraduate speaker and realized:
This is what happens when a woman reclaims her life.
Each decision a thread… woven into a new identity.
Not a version of me who survived life—
But one who creates it.
Co-creates it.
With God. With intention. With reverence.
Because once the dam broke, and I woke up to the truth of who I am, there was no going back.
The Work
This isn’t about fixing what’s broken.
It’s about releasing what was never yours to carry.
It’s about remembering the truth underneath all the roles, wounds, and performance.
Returning to the woman you’ve always been—but maybe forgot along the way.
I didn’t heal because I tried harder.
I healed because I stopped abandoning myself.
I stopped negotiating with dysfunction.
I stopped living in rooms that required me to shrink.
I stopped waiting for permission to be powerful.
And as I did… my life began to reflect me—
Not the conditioned version.
Not the performing one.
But the deeply rooted, divinely guided, beautifully human version.
The woman who knows her worth.
Who embodies peace as a practice.
Who leads her life—not in spite of her past, but because she made peace with it.
This is the work.
Not for the faint of heart, but for the heart that’s ready to come home.
Who I Work With
The women I mentor?
They’re not new to healing.
They’ve done the therapy. Read the books. Learned the language.
They’re brilliant, big-hearted, and often the strong one in every room.
They lead, they love, they hold it all—
But deep down, they’re tired of holding it alone.
They’ve built lives that look good…
But quietly wonder why it still doesn’t feel good.
Because they’re not here for surface-level success.
They want the real thing.
The joy that lasts.
The peace that doesn’t need to be micromanaged.
The kind of love that doesn’t require them to abandon themselves to receive it.
They’re ready to stop circling the same loops.
To embody what they know.
To finally land the life they’ve been building toward all along.
And not just in theory—
But in their nervous system, their relationships, their work, their walk with God.
Because she doesn’t just want better habits—
She wants a different experience of being alive.
Why My Work Matters
I’m not here to save you.
And I’m definitely not here to sell you a fantasy.
I’m here to walk beside you as you become the woman you were always meant to be—
The one beneath the wounds, the armor, the performance, the patterns.
The woman who leads herself with clarity.
Loves herself without conditions.
And lives a life rooted in Truth, not just trend.
Because I don’t just talk about transformation—
I’ve lived it.
In my body. In my faith. In my relationships.
In how I mother, how I work, how I rise.
What I teach is a lived transmission.
A culmination of science, spirit, strategy—and a deep, unwavering relationship with the Divine.
This work is not about chasing more.
It’s about becoming more of who you already are.
Whole.
Wise.
Unshakeable.
Unapologetically free.
This is the Art of Living Well.
And this is A Cultivated Life.
You’ve been circling.
Let’s land this thing.
Welcome to Your New Era
Rooted in Truth. Aligned, Liberated, and Free
Onward + Upward!
(and maybe even inward 😉)
